Ralbigh-Durham International Airport Parking Garage Expands in Response to Rapid Growth
As one of the fastest growing airports in the world, Raleigh-Durham International Airport was in need of a plan to accommodate the extensive growth of its customer base. Beginning in 1995, Walker Parking Consultants, in close collaboration with Tom Quesenberry program manager for the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority, led a construction program for both the hourly and daily parking system in the terminal area of the airport.
A comprehensive study concluded that a sophisticated plan was required to add a total of more than 13000 parking spaces to the existing 3000 spaces in the airport terminal area.
