As we know, parking facilities are quite often portrayed in movies and TV shows as dark and dangerous places where terrible things happen (not to mention car chases!). NPA recently conducted a survey about security in parking facilities. While the response to the survey was limited, the results reveal a number of interesting statistical facts regarding how we perceive our parking facilities and what we as an industry are doing to make them safer.

Security and customer safety continue to be a primary concern in the parking industry. Performing periodic risk and vulnerability assessments, along with training all personnel for emergency response, is critical to achieving a safe and secure parking facility.
